In this project we had to design a theatre at one of London's renowned places 'Ladywell Public Baths' located in Lewisham.
My idea was to design a theatre space which is made from ribbons (plywood). The function of the space would be it will be a theatre where art performances and dramas will be performed. The space will also have a cafe and bar allowing people to eat and enjoy if they reach early for a show. My concept is based upon 'movement' and 'continuity' because the strips are running on floor, wall and ceiling and it ties the entire space together

Existing Site
Ladywell, a neighborhood within London, is home to a population of 14,735, comprising approximately 0.16% of London's total population. The area boasts proximity to 13 primary and secondary schools, making it a convenient location for families. The iconic building in Ladywell, designed by Wilson Son and Aldwinkle in 1884, showcases a stunning blend of Gothic style and Victorian architecture typical of that era. Noteworthy features include the baths, which were inaugurated in 1885, displaying a red brick exterior with a distinctive cone-shaped roof. The building's grandeur is accentuated by a huge circular tower adorned with a turret, intricate stained glass windows, and ornate decorative ironwork, reflecting the craftsmanship and artistry of its time.
